The breakfast on both mornings was beautifully cooked, with excellent local produce. I highly recommend the full English. it was a delightful way to start each day.
The only drawback was that the windows only opened a small amount, which made the room feel a bit warm at times, especially overnight.

i really thought this would be a great stay, but the windows barely opened, leaving me stifled. Plus, i was hoping for a free treat or upgrade as i was clearly deserving—it’s not asking too much, is it? instead, i received nothing. what a disappointment! this place is definitely not as special as they think it is.

This was a gem of a property! The room was beautifully decorated in a country style with a super comfortable bed and a delightful en-suite bathroom featuring a bath. The hosts, Andy and Tanya, went above and beyond by preparing a cook-to-order breakfast and even made me a takeaway sandwich for my journey. The location was peaceful with endless walking opportunities nearby.
The windows only opened slightly, which made it a bit warm at times.

Single traveler recommended for a quiet retreat
The owners, Andy and Tanya, were exceptional! they went out of their way to help after I arrived late, arranging a delicious cook-to-order breakfast even at 7.30pm and packing a takeaway sandwich for my journey, super thoughtful.
It wasn't exactly affordable, but I found it acceptable for the experience offered.

The stunning scenery of Exmoor was a real treat, offering lovely walks and cozy local pubs to enjoy meals. With my mother along, we explored the nearby trails and had a fantastic time soaking in nature's beauty. The ambiance at the hotel was superb.
My wife says that the amenities could use family-friendly options.
